Walnut Tips: Toasting - Toasting will enhance the flavor and maintain the crispness of walnuts. Conventional Oven: Spread kernels in a shallow pan. Bake at 350 degrees F, stirring often for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool. Microwave Oven: Spread 3/4 to 1 cup kernels in a single layer in glass plate. Microwave at high for 5 to 6 minutes, stirring every two minutes. Cool. Store Shelled Walnuts: in airtight, moisture-proof bags (this package) or other closed container in refrigerator. For long term storage, store in freezer. Walnuts thaw quickly at room temperature.
